The outgoing Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Women Development; Princess Happy Ofulue has paid glowing tribute to the outgoing Governor whom she described as pride of Delta State.

In a press statement on Wednesday, Ofulue who creditably served the Governor for four years as Special Assistant said Okowa by working hard to ensure that Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori who has served as Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly for four years succeeds him as Governor was the best thing that has happened to the State in contemporary time.

While appreciating the Governor for giving her the opportunity to serve, Ofulue described the incoming Governor as the Biblical Joshua and Okowa as Moses, the twosome who led the Israelites at different times on their journey to the Promised Land.

The Governor’s Special Assistant noted that her boss in his eight years of being in charge of governance in Delta State was youth friendly and did not hesitate to appoint another youth friendly personality as his successor in office. She attributed Oborevwori’s victory at the Governorship election to the cooperation of the youths.

As a youth, Princess Ofulue while praying for God’s guidance for the incoming Governor, implored him to give her another chance to serve in the incoming administration.

Making a case for her Uvwie Community, Ofulue appealed for government’s intervention in the leadership of Uvwie Local Government with a view to putting an end to the sit-down syndrome of the young and intelligent men who could not get any form of employment.

The Governor’s aide also expressed appreciation to Chief Kingsley Esiso whom she said, has always been there for her as a Father even when she was shot during 2019 Presidential Elections after she has lost at the Primary to Hon Solomon Ighrakpata.

According to her, “I was in the hospital for six months. I will forever appreciate him for being there for me in those dark moments of my life.”

In the same vein, Princess Ofulue expressed appreciation to her immediate boss; Commissioner for Women Affairs; Mrs Flora Alatan for “giving me the opportunity to be Active in my appointment.”
