Obasanjo’s Endorsement Of Peter Obi Has Exposed Shamelessness Of Opposition Politicians

As the adage goes, ‘do not lie to your eyes.’ But the politicians here in Nigeria are lying to their eyes by thinking that Nigerians are stupid.

What is the fee besmirch talk about former president Obasanjo about?

I want to ask one question, has former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s endorsement of Labor Party’s presidential candidate solved Nigeria’s problems?

The temper tantrum has not and will never solve Nigeria’s problems. Obasanjo only expressed his personal opinion in absolute exercise of his constitutional right on freedom of expression.
Apart from the fact that his personal opinion is not enough to win the election, he pointed out some serious problems confronting the country which needs urgent and serious attention.

Wether he endorsed Atiku Abubakar or Bola Tinubu, his endorsement has not taken away the fact that Nigeria is in deep crisis and needs much more than cosmetic rhetorical politics to solve.

The problem is exactly what happened after former President Obasanjo endorsed Peter Obi. All the problems were exposed by shameless, corrupt politicians, who ignored the problems he highlighted and started attacking his person and his record.

He has the right to support or vote for a candidate of his choice,
he also has the right to highlight the serious problems confronting the country as a Nigerian citizen and as a statesman.

My question is, have all the insults and abuses reduced the exchange rate? Have the insults and abuses improved the security situation in the country?
Has their situation of arrogance improved the state of infrastructural dilapidation? Has it freed the country from the unending shackles and impoverishment?

Politicians insulting former President Obasanjo should go and hide their faces in the pit toilet as their faces stink more than the toilet their faces are hidden.
The politicians’s attitude toward power was just exposed by their irresponsible and reckless innuendos, which is extremely embarrassing for a nation like Nigeria.

By their utterances, it is obvious that the politicians still live in the past and still believe in democracy by impunity.
These politicians still believe in
piggybacking and vote buying and selling .
These pathetic politicians are actually letting us understand the true definition of “politics” which comes from the Greek poli, meaning many, and tics, meaning blood-sucking animals.They believe they are created to parasite on Nigerians.
