President Buhari

By Charles Nwabardi

The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has tasked the Senate and House of Representatives to initiate processes to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.

The call was made by CUPP spokesperson, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere in a press conference on Wednesday.

The coalition also called for the impeachment of the House of Representative Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Senate President Ahmed Lawan.

Ikenga accused President Buhari of abusing his office, gross misconduct, and failure to protect the lives and property of Nigerians.

According to the CUPP spokesman, life is now so cheap in Nigeria that leaders “do not even show empathy anymore”, lamenting wanton killing has become the order of the day as death is now taken for granted.

The coalition tasked lawmakers of opposition parties to work “in alliance with patriotic members who are imprisoned in the APC and seeking liberation to commence an action and impeach the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila immediately”.
