Authorities of the University of Delta, Agbor have condemned in strong terms a trending video in the social media with a report alleging some immoral conduct by a senior male officer of the institution with a female student.

In a statement on Friday, the Head, Public Relations & Protocol of the university said “University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor in Delta State, Nigeria is a highly responsible top-class higher institution known for its excellent track record within its relatively short time of establishment.

The University does NOT and will indeed NEVER in any way tolerate such an unwholesome and highly repulsive act. The dramatis personae (both the male and the female) are neither members of staff, bonafide students, nor are they known to the University of Delta, Agbor. This is a clear case of blackmail.

“The management of the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor condemns this act in its entirety in the strongest possible terms.

This act is not only repulsive but morally and legally reprehensible. It should thus not find expression in public space, certainly not from any responsible institution such as the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor.”

The statement further declared that “University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor dissociates itself from the video as well as the dramatis personae, and the general public is hereby advised to disregard the same.”
