Ubulu-Uku Traditional Prime Minister Launches Book On Throne And Kingship

On Tuesday December 28, 2021 all roads would lead to Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State as the Onishe (Traditional Prime Minister) of the town; Chief Emma Ejiofor who recently bagged a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Banking and Finance from Madonna University Okija, is set to publicly present his latest book.

According to a statement by the seven-member Book Presentation Committee led by Chief Kevin Ofili, the book titled MY PERSPECTIVES ON UBULU-UKU TRADITION, THRONE & KINGSHIP is Dr. Ejiofor’s attempt (as the title suggests) at bringing into focus his perspectives on Ubulu-Uku traditions, throne and kingship.

Other members of the Committee are Prof. Emma Okey Okwechime, Dr. Nduka Emu, Mrs Esther Wright, Mr. Frank Oshanugor, Pastor Emma Nwaogwonuwe and Mr. Tony Awunor while the book reviewer is Prof. Cyril Emordi.

The public presentation which is scheduled to take place at the event center of Viva Hotels, Ubulu-Uku is expected to attract dignitaries from within and outside Delta State particularly sons and daughters of the town who have interest in their tradition.

A copy of the book seen by AtlanticNewsonline reveals that a prominent monarch in Delta State, The Obi of Owa Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Obi (Dr) Efeizomor Emmanuel wrote Foreword to the book in which he described the effort as a “timely wake up call to historians,

researchers, writers and community leaders alike to fully embrace the art of writing and documentation of historical facts about people and events as any history, culture and tradition not documented is as good as eroded.”

Apart from his Doctorate in Banking and Finance, Ejiofor in addition holds a Masters in Public Administration (MPA), Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Accountancy.

He has been in active politics and one of the convener foundation members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Ejiofor was a one time Deputy Chief of Staff, Delta State Government House and also served as member, Technical Advisory Committee, Technology Incubation Centre, Warri.

As a business man, he is currently the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Mega Food Offshore Services Limited, Port Harcourt and Executive Director, Land Marine Aircon System Limited.
