Provost Raises Alarm Against Suspected Scammer Impersonating Him On Facebook

The Provost of Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka Lagos, Dr. Wahab Ademola Azeez has alerted members of the public about a suspected internet fraudster who has been impersonating him on Facebook.

In a telephone discussion with AtlanticNewsonline on Saturday, the Provost
said the suspected criminal character has been “using my picture where I appear in

Academic gown using Facebook and Facebook Messenger to chat with unsuspecting people asking them that they should private chat him on his WhatsApp line 07044988079.”

In the light of this, Dr. Azeez has advised members of the public to “note that it is not me. I don’t have a WhatsApp account with that number. I’m sure many that communicate

with me on WhatsApp know my WhatsApp number. The guy created a Facebook account in my name and has been trying to dupe people. Please don’t fall for that criminal.”

The Provost has therefore advised members of the public to kindly report the account to

Facebook immediately until the “fake account” is shut down.

He further advised that members of the public can always call him to confirm any information directly from him.
