A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and Director General of ‘Shobor Movement 2023 For Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’, Olorogun Emmanuel Shobor has stated that the
Deputy Senate President’s score card endeared him into joining the APC and subsequently launched the group for the actualization of Omo-Agege’s 2023 dream to be governor of Delta state.
Shobor who made this known when he hosted members of the Shobor Movement 2023 for Senator Ovie Omo-Agege across the state, executive and leaders of APC Ughelli South
Ward 4, said the APC has done well at the federal level, especially in the constructed rail lines that cuts across North and South of the country and other notable infrastructures.
According to him, the lawmakers, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Rt. Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive representing the Urhobo Nation at the National Assembly have also performed creditably.
“Senator Ovie Omo-Agege changed the Urhobo narrative at the federal level. He is a man we can trust and we also believe that if we entrust the state into his hands he will perform creditably.
“What actually inspired us to create this group is because I least expected that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege will perform to the admiration of all. After a meticulous assessment of
his achievements in Delta central and the state in general, I and members of my group decided that there was need for him to be encouraged.
“That is why we are calling on him to contest for the governorship seat of Delta state come 2023 because he will do more than what he has done presently”.
Shobor assured that he and his teeming followers across the state and party lines will continue to mobilize electorates to ensure that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege becomes governor of Delta state come 2023.
When asked if Senator Ovie Omo-Agege can surmount the almighty Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) structure, Shobor said: “Senator Ovie Omo-Agege I know is a political magician, so I trust him and I know his political will and power. With his achievements across Delta central and the state in general, I believe he will win convincingly.”
