The President, Security Resource and Risk Management Academy, Lagos; Mr. Matthew Ibadin has enjoined banks, financial institutions and other debt recovery agencies to take advantage of the forthcoming seminar on debt recovery to train their personnel.

Speaking with AtlanticNewsonline at the weekend on the one month training scheduled to hold from 18th February to 20th March, 2022, Ibadin said it has become imperative that all those involved in one way or the other in debt recovery should have good knowledge of how best to carry out the assignment.

He contended that in the debt recovery process, certain persons by virtue of their professions are involved. These, according to him include legal practitioners, law enforcement agents, investigators, trackers, intelligence officers and so on.

He posited that all aforementioned persons before embarking in helping to recover debt from debtors should be knowledgeable in the art of recovering debt, emphasising that “before a debt becomes a bad debt, there are things we can do to recover the money from the debtors.”

According to the Security Resource and Risk Management Academy chieftain, part of what would be discussed at the forthcoming training include legal understanding of debt collection,

investigation and risk mitigation, tracking, negotiation, persuasion, strategies, creativity in debt collection and how to start a debt recovery business even as a private organisation.

The one month training which attracts $500 fee promises to be an exciting time for participants. According to Ibadin, the fee covers the cost of training materials, examination, certification, badge.

The training is accredited by International Security Organization, Switzerland.
