Lagos Comes Alive With ‘Produced In Nigeria’ Marketplace

Nigeria’s commercial city of Lagos has come on stream with the country’s largest and credible marketplace for home made products and services as www.producedinnigeria.com is launched.

The laudable project is coming at a time when the quest to earn foreign exchange through promotion and patronage of wholly Nigerian products is needed to set Nigeria’s economy on the move.

Speaking during the official presentation of Produced In Nigeria (PIN) in Lagos at the weekend, promoter of the innovative venture, Olori Bukola Ojo, said increase in the patronage of made in Nigeria’s goods is the solution to ending the country’s economic woes and an alternative to over dependence on oil and gas.

She called on Nigerians in the diaspora to take advantage of the new innovation to patronize made in Nigeria products and services.

Though she admits there are challenges of trust in made in Nigeria products, but she encouraged Nigerians to have faith in the offerings of PIN as they would only market verified quality products and services on the platform.

She used the opportunity to call on government to support initiatives like PIN and discourage importation of goods, especially those that can be produced within the country so as to encourage local manufacturers.
