Family Announces Ona Ekhomu’s Burial

The remains of Nigeria’s foremost private security practitioner; Dr. Ona Ekhomu who died on 8th August, 2021 would be interred on Friday 10th September, 2021 at his home town of Irrua in Edo State.

According to information made public by the family, the burial activities which would be coordinated virtually by Happydays Online TV.Zoom Broadcast shall begin with a service of songs at 5pm on Tuesday 7th September, 2021 at Muson Centre, Onikan Lagos.

On Friday 10th September, there would be funeral service at Anglican Church, Uwenuje Irrua to be followed by interment same day at his residence along Usugbenu Road, Irrua Edo State.

On Saturday 11th September, 2021 beginning from noon there would be reception/entertainment of guests at Eguare Primary School, Irrua.

The activities would come to a climax with a church Thanksgiving service on Sunday 19th September, 2021 at Our Saviours Anglican Church, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos; a church he had attended over the years and was a reputed member in several ways.

The late security icon during his sojourn on earth highly distinguished himself in service to humanity and his country Nigeria in particular as he gave his very best playing valuable role in having a safe and secure society.

He largely contributed in moving forward the frontiers of the private and Industrial security through intellectual activism that latched so much on his cerebral nature. He was a man of the people as he courted friendship across all tribes, religions and social classes even at his own cost.

As Nigerians warm up to bid him farewell on his journey to the great beyond, his absence as a security advisor, teacher, public analyst, columnist, author and so on would surely be felt for a long time to come.
