Dignitaries Storm Idumuje-Ugboko As Gov. Okowa’s Aide Lays Late Father To Rest

Funeral activities of the late Prince Augustine Enuraiwe Nwoko, father of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Health Monitoring, Dr. Michael Nwoko had come and gone, but memories of the event would not fade in a hurry as it was an occasion that brought guests from various walks of life to Idumuje-Ugboko community in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The funeral activities had begun with a service of songs and wake keep on Thursday July 7 at the family compound at Ogbe-Obi Quarters. The deceased’s body was interred in the same family compound on Friday July 8, 2022 following which an elaborate reception was held at the residence of the Senior Special Assistant.

Guests cutting across political associates, family friends and other well wishers came in great numbers among whom were member representing Aniocha North Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Engr). Emeka Nwaobi, Chief(Mrs) Ada Kachikwu, Chairmen of

the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the nine Local Government Areas in Delta North led by their Chairman, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji(Oshimili South PDP Chairman), including host Dr. Charles Ochei(Aniocha North PDP Chairman).

Others were the State PDP woman leader, Mrs Kanwulia Ogboko. Delta North PDP woman leader and Aniocha North PDP woman leader, Princess Tina

Amuamuziam, Vice Chairman, Aniocha North LGA, Vice Chairman, Aniocha South LGA. and Rt. Hon. (Dr). Olise Imegwu, Former Speaker Delta State House of Assembly.

HRM Ugoani of Okpanam Kingdom, HRM Obi of Ejeme Unor and Forum of Councillors, Aniocha North LGA were also in attendance.

The list of guests at the funeral activities also include Chief (Sir) Dele Omenegor, Odogwu of Amai kingdom, Hon. Chucks Oseme, former Chairman, Aniocha North LGA, Chief Fidelis Onwodi, Aniocha North House of Assembly PDP aspirant in the last primaries.

Members of Rotary Club, Asaba Central, Delta State Health Monitoring Team, Leading Right Ambassadors Initiative, Support groups for Hon. (Prince) Ned Nwoko were equally present at the event.
