Human Rights Abuse At Maroko Police Station: Zone 2 Police Boss Sets Up 6-Man Panel

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Zone 2 Command Onikan, Lagos, Fayoade Adegoke, has set up a 6-man panel to probe a trending allegation on the social media where a woman alleged that she was detained at Maroko Police Station Cell together with some male and under-aged individuals.

The panel members include DCP Ajao Adewale, Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Zonal Criminal Investigation Department (ZCID), ACP. Ogunsakin

Gbenga, Officer in-charge of Zonal Intelligence Department, Mr. Emma Nnadozie, Group Crime Editor, Vanguard Newspaper, Comrade Prince Adeoye Adewunmi, a Human Rights Activist, Ivy Kanu of TVC News and Barrister (Mrs) Blessing Afe, a Lawyer and Social worker.

The panel is to be formally inaugurated by AIG Fayoade Adegoke, at the M.D Abubakar Conference Hall, Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos at 12:00 Noon on Friday, 4th October, 2024.

This is in line with the contemporary force leadership stand on respect for human right and gender related matters.
