Girls’ Alumni Association Recounts Achievements, Plans To Drive Innovation, Leverage Technology

Former students of Ezemu Girls Grammar School, Ubulu-Uku in Delta State under the aegis of Ezemu Girls Grammar School Old Students Association (EGGOSOSA) have counted their blessings with a record of achievements and poise to do more.

These achievements, according to the Association’s President, Mrs. Rosemary Ofunne were a direct result of their collective support and engagement. The achievements include rebuilding of dilapidated halls, implementation of vital welfare initiatives and broadening of community outreach efforts.

In her welcome address at the “Alumni 2025 All White Party” held at Viva Hotel and Suites at Ubulu-Uku on 30th December, 2025, Mrs. Ofunne also noted what she described as “incredible tapestry” of professional achievements of the Old Girls many of whom are academic doctors (PhD holders), dedicated educators, lawyers, visionary entrepreneurs, wonderful mothers and so on.

Speaking further on the Association’s achievements so far, she explained that “these projects are not merely statistics; they represent lives touched, opportunities created and communities strengthened.”.

She encouraged her colleagues to sustain the tempo towards further expansion of the project initiatives just as she reminded that “we are an organization built on collective strength and shared purpose.”

The EGGSOSA President while encouraging her colleagues to foster a culture of collaboration, mentorship, unwavering, revealed that the Association ‘s current focus is on driving innovation, fostering inclusivity, aims also at leveraging technology to enhance connectivity and create a truly global network alumni.

The Alumni 2025 White Party witnessed a modest attendance by members of EGGSOSA cutting across different sets. Many of them came from Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, other parts of Nigeria including some in the Diaspora.

One of the highlights at the White Party was award presentation to some outstanding members of the Alumni body.

They included Dr. Doris Amaka Ochei, wife of Major-General Raymond Ochei of the Nigeria Army.

Some other members of the Association known as “Integrity Sisters” were also honoured.
