A movie that tends to expand discourse on some contemporary issues associated with human health challenges like prostrate cancer, paternity and infidelity will soon be out and premiered in Nigerian cinemas and DSTV.

Leading the pack of other celebrated NollyWood personae starring in the movie is Victor Edogun; a professional architect who has featured in no fewer than fifty movies since he made his first major outing in ZENITH, an Africa Independent Television (AIT) production which featured Nollywood celebrities like Norbert Young, Ebele Okaro.

Featuring as Chief Adole, the lead character and billionaire in the movie, Edogun is undoubtedly upscaling alongside Cameroun born Nollywood actress Shaznay Akawa, Lateef Adedimeji and others.
The movie which is directed by Uche Simon is produced by Monarch Movies/Stephen Anozie.

Speaking with AtlanticNewsonline on Saturday morning, the chartered architect revealed that

health challenges affecting many marriages in contemporary time.

With so much interest and passion for using dramatic arts as a medium of highlighting human related challenges and seeking solutions to them, the graduate of architecture from the Cross Rivers State University of Technology (CRUTECH) said his multiple competence has enabled him to make a career in NollyWood without putting his architectural activities in jeopardy.

According to him, none of the two professions is giving way to the other as his architectural knowledge gives him some edge in dramatic plays.

Edogun, prior to his first degree programme at CRUTECH had schooled at the Federal Government College, Sokoto and subsequently Edo College, Benin City.

With some sense of nostalgia, the architect recalled how it all began for him in the dramatic world. Back in the days at the University campus, he was participating in part time acting along with some other students merely to entertain the University community.

“We did a number of stage plays, drama and we collaborated with students of other universities. We did quality plays. After serving the mandatory one year national youths service, I got employment. While working over the years, in architectural firm, I discovered that in the emerging NollyWood, I could do something given my competence and passion for acting. That was way back in 1996 or thereabout after a movie “Living in Bondage” was produced and made popular all over the place.”

As an upwardly mobile architect with many notable designs to his credit over the years, Victor Edogun has continued to seek relevance in the architectural profession by not only becoming a registered Member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (MNIA), but by sitting and passing several professional examinations in different stages.

Camerounian Shaznay Akawa who is the first from her country to successfully break into NollyWood with her role in the blockbuster movie ‘Iyore’ that starred Rita Dominic,

Joseph Benjamin and so on, also plays an outstanding role in the expected movie hoped to be released soonest barring any unforeseen challenges.
