Discover The Opportunity In Every Challenge, Google Director Tells Women

As more Nigerian women make their mark in different sectors of the global economy, the Director, Google West Africa, Juliet Ehimuan-Chiazor has advised them to diligently look out for the opportunity in every challenge as according to her, “on the flip side of every challenge is opportunity.”

The Google boss who was one of the speakers at the “Women Entrepreneurs & Executives in Tech Summit” on Thursday at the Four-Point-By Sheraton Hotel, Lagos advised that more women should be inspired by available opportunities in every task. “Do not be daunted by challenges, spot the opportunity, be inspired and take action.’

Emphasizing the fact that digital transformation is the new normal, Ehimuan-Chiazor advised that more women can leverage the existing technology to solve contemporary problems, creating value, bringing solutions to challenges using technology.

While commending the organisers of the seminar for bringing a good number of women entrepreneurs to attend the summit, she noted that the achievements of some Nigerian in various fields have given indication that more women can do better even in the technology space.

The Google chieftain gave examples of Nigerian women who have made incredible mark by taking advantage of opportunities in the various challenges they had come across. They include Ola Orekunrin-Brown who founded the Flydoctors scheme, Billikis Adebiyo, founder of Wecyclers, Odun Eweniyi, Founder of Piggy-Vest and Yemmie TV founder, Yemisi Odusanya.
