MEET FRANK OSHANUGOR

By Braxton Ilobah
Barely forty-eight hours after some concerned indigenes of Aboh Ogwashi-Uku community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State called on the Inspector General of Police and Delta State Governor to order the immediate withdrawal of police personnel from their land, the same group (names withheld) has called security agencies in the State to urgently intervene as total break down of law and order is quite imminent.

This is consequent upon the massive invasion and destruction of people’s properties by suspected agents of Wetter Bethel Estate developers on Thursday 12th February, 2026. They had come with bulldozers and other equipment laying serious claim to the land in spite of the fact that there is an existing litigation in court over the same land.
The Aboh-Ogwashi community through their lawyers had in 2024 instituted a case with Suit No. O/88/24 against Gee7 Properties at Delta State High Court, Ogwashi-Uku.

Hearing in the matter had come up Monday 9th February, 2026 but later adjourned to a later date to enable parties to the case regularize their processes.

It has therefore come as a surprise that Bethel Estate, another developer would audaciously invade the same land with the aim of taking possession. As at press time, it was not clear on whose authority or permission they were acting on.

Spokesman of the community speaking anonymously to ATLANTICNEWSONLINE on Friday morning has warned all estate developers who spent money buying

land in the community to immediately recover their money and pull out as the community would henceforth not take things lightly with the illegal invasion and possession of their land.

The spokesman of the community contended that Wetter Bethel Estate and some other property developers who have gone to acquire the community land may be doing so through some powerful and influential elements within Ogwashi-Uku, who claim custodianship.

According to him, estate developers who have committed money purporting to have bought the land, stand to lose their money as the land in question is currently encumbered. “It is a subject of litigation at a High Court,” he emphasized.

The community members have recently discovered that some personalities had begun to work on the land with surveyors mapping out the land. The land which measures over 20 hectares is located opposite 63 Military Brigade Base near Admiralty University on Ogwashi-Uku/Ibusa Express way.

They have therefore called on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori once again to put an end to what they described as intimidation and rascality to operate within or under

his administration. Authorities of various security agencies that constitute the security council have also been asked to stay alert and intervene in the matter before peace is ultimately breached with blood bath between the invaders and indigenes.

“The Governor should step in as a voice to challenge this injustice and violent destruction of people’s properties” he demanded.
