MEET FRANK OSHANUGOR

The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon.(Pastor) Jude Chukwuweike has vehemently denied the trending allegation in the social media that he threatened to dethrone the King of Ubulu-Uku, His Royal Majesty, Obi Noah Chukwuka Akaeze 1.

Speaking to ATLANTICNEWSONLINE on Tuesday morning, Chukwuweike who hails from Ubulu-Uku said never contemplated taking any such step nor would ever imagine himself doing such a thing to the revered Monarch.
He described those behind the allegation as misrepresenting what he said in a security council meeting which held in his office at Ogwashi-Uku on Monday 25th August, 2025.
Subsequent to this clarification with the Council boss his media office issued a press statement throwing more light on the issue as stated below:
“The attention of the Office of the Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area has been drawn to a fictitious online publication, maliciously crafted to tarnish the hard-earned reputation of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike. The false report alleged that the Chairman threatened to withdraw the Staff of Office of His Royal Majesty, the Obi of Ubulu-Uku, after a Security Council meeting held at the Chairman’s office in Ogwashi-Uku.

Ordinarily, such baseless and concocted claims, emanating from faceless individuals parading themselves as college of Ubulu-Uku Development Union (UDU) Presidents, would not deserve a response. However, for the sake of posterity, clarity, and the unsuspecting public at home and abroad, it has become imperative to set the records straight.

At the said Security Council meeting, it was Mr. George Ofulue, Palace Secretary, who made a statement discrediting the present leadership of the Ubulu-Uku Youths, describing them as a “kangaroo executive.” In response, heads of security agencies present, including the Area Commander, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigerian Army—reprimanded him.

They pointed out that the election in question was duly witnessed, monitored and supervised by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development, and as such, could not be termed “kangaroo.” Any attempt to do so was a direct affront to the authority of the Delta State Government, which had also presented the Staff of Office to His Royal Majesty.

Following this, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, only advised all parties to sheath their swords and allow peace to reign. He emphasized that his office, in exercise of its constitutional mandate, would leave no stone unturned in ensuring peace and stability. He further restated his absolute loyalty to the revered traditional institution of Ubulu-Uku and His Royal Majesty, cautioning against actions capable of escalating the situation.

For the avoidance of doubt, we state unequivocally that:
In conclusion, we reiterate that Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike remains committed to initiatives that promote development, peace, and unity in Aniocha South. As a man of faith and integrity, he will never at any time disparage His Royal Majesty, the Obi of Ubulu-Uku, or the respected elders of the kingdom,” the press statement concluded.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, the press release in question dated 25th August, 2025 posted on some Ubulu-Uku community platforms had alleged that the Council boss threatened to dethrone His Royal Majesty Obi Noah Akaeze or withdraw his staff of office, should he fail to reinstate a suspended Chief, Asika James Onwordi.
Hon. Chukwuweike told ATLANTICNEWSONLINE that at no time did he make such statement with respect to Onwordi’s issue with the Palace since he did not have any personal interest in the matter, other than promotion of peace in the community as Ubulu-Uku is within his domain as Local Government Chairman.
