Alleged Extortion Of N150m By Officers: Police Authorities Commence Investigation

 land speculator that some police officers demanded gratification on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetukon to settle a land case he is involved in at Ibeku-Lekki area of Lagos state.

The investigation followed widespread online publication by the land speculator, Saheed Mosadoluwa (a.k.a.Ibile) of Harmony Garden in Ibeju-Lekki alleging among other things that some officers at Zone 2 Command,

Onikan, Lagos declared him wanted because he failed to provide N150m which they claimed will be given to the IGP to let him off the hook.

Police sources however, said his claims were made out of desperation to evade justice after he waylaid and kidnapped the matriarch of popular Oni-Orisan family, Chief (Mrs) Dupe Oni-Orisan Damazio and manhandled her with his thugs over a land dispute.

Atlanticnewsonline learned that based on the assault and kidnapping of the matriarch, the case was reported at Zone 2 Command, but all efforts to invite Ibile failed as he reportedly boasted that nobody could arrest him.

The story took a different dimension after he allegedly orchestrated an attack against some policemen who went to invite him over the petition. Worse still, according to police claims, he went further to release on TikTok (social media) a message accusing police of trying to extort N150m from him on behalf of the Inspector General of Police.

Police sources in Abuja said the authorities are not taking the allegations lightly hence he has been invited to come to Abuja and prove his case, but since then, he has been elusive. Based on this, it was gathered that police authorities have vowed to arrest and bring him to Abuja, more so for his claims that many senior police officers are on his pay roll hence his refusal to honor the invitation extended to him.

Meanwhile, the family of the kidnapped and manhandled matriach has called for the urgent intervention of the Attorney General ofLagos State in suit between Sikiru Oni Orisan and four others vs China Harbor Company Ltd. In a petition signed by Ezekiel Upular, Esq from Upular Chambers, it was stated that the judgment delivered in favor of their clients and a Lagos state government gazette of village excision that the vast land at Oju Ota village, Oko Oni Orisan which belongs to their client has not been honored.

The family stated also that it has been discovered that a faction of their family had carried out the execution of the court order of same land and out of desperation are trying to use the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) to interpret and undermine the execution of earlier judgment in their favor.

They also called for the urgent intervention of the Attorney General in order to prevent the DPP from desecrating his office while attempting to sit over an existing court judgment on appeal.

Meanwhile, the dispute over the ownership of a family land in Ibeju Lekki Epe axis has drawn Real Estate entrepreneur, Saheed Mosadoluwa (Ibile) and prominent businessman, Aare Bashir Fakorede into a messy personality war.

It was gathered that as the war deepens, there have been claims and counter claims. A source close to Aare Fakorede intimated that while his boss, Fakorede has not featured personally in the ongoing saga, Mosadoluwa has reportedly called him out for being the main character behind it all.

According to him, they have been over the matter for over two years. In a video he posted on his Instagram page, he leveled various allegations against Falkorede and police officials whom he said have compromised in the case of the disputed land.
