The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Force Criminal Intelligence Department (FCID) Annex, Lagos, Magret Agebe Ochalla, recently hosted a distinguished delegation of media and entertainment practitioners as part of her people-friendly policing strategy.

The delegation was led by Ambassador Cornel Udofia, a notable publicist, Publisher of The Gladiators Magazine and Founder of Kick Against Crime in Our Society.

Among the CMC delegates were Lady Adaobi Enekwa, Publisher of Blissful Affairs Magazine, movie producer, and convener of the Blissful

Affairs Awards for Excellence; Queen Campbell, veteran music icon and member of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN); Queen Zita Millicent Oluchi, Chief Welfare Officer of the CMC Gladiators Group and a real estate consultant; Dr. Champion Onyekwelu.

Others were renowned news analyst on Rave TV, STV, MITV, and Chief Anchor at CMC Events; Gbenga Nelson, who is also Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dutch TV Online and former Chief Reporter at NTA 2 Channel 5; and Friday Elechukwu, reporter with Lagos Television (LTV).

The courtesy visit featured the formal presentation of an award to AIG Ochalla in recognition of her outstanding achievements, steadfast professionalism, and unwavering commitment to upholding human rights and promoting excellence in policing.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Ambassador Udofia commended AIG Ochalla for her exemplary service and commendable track record both within Nigeria and beyond. He described her as a beacon of integrity and a true role model in law enforcement.

He noted that the purpose of the visit was to express support for her efforts in the fight against crime, to promote justice, and to strengthen national security under her leadership as the 54th Assistant Inspector General of Police at FCID Annex, Lagos.

Udofia also praised her zero-tolerance stance on corruption and her dedication to maintaining a high standard of integrity, in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police.

In addition, the delegation formally introduced their magazine, entertainment, and security platforms to AIG Ochalla, with the aim of establishing a mutually beneficial working relationship. The team also took the opportunity to recognize and decorate the Public Relations

Officer of the FCID Annex, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mayegun Aminat, anipr, for her hard work, professionalism, and dedication within the Nigeria Police Force.

In her response, AIG Ochalla expressed heartfelt appreciation to Ambassador Udofia and the entire CMC delegation for the honour. She acknowledged the vital role of the media in crime prevention and law enforcement, emphasizing the importance of sustained collaboration

between the police and media professionals. She encouraged the group to continue their advocacy and pledged her support for joint efforts aimed at achieving lasting, positive change in Nigeria.
