A young Nigerian, Mr. Confidence Osakioduwa Ogbeide reportedly involved in bi-sexual activities is now on the run to evade the consequences of same-sex related offences which among other things attract no less than 14 years imprisonment on conviction in Nigeria. His whereabouts is currently unknown.

An impeccable source close to his family revealed that of recent, his father Mr. Osazee Ogbeide had openly disowned him and sent message that he should never return to his family following Confidence’s confession to his father on phone from his unknown hideout that truly, he was a bi-sexual.

According to the male source who craved anonymity, Confidence’s trouble had allegedly begun when it was discovered that he was into bi-sexual activities.
Story has it that back in the days, a former secondary school mate of his, named Samuel Osayomwanbor introduced him into same-sex relationship at a relatively young age.

The relationship was however kept secret until an incident occurred when they travelled from his base in Benin City Edo State to Warri where their martial art training coach’s gym was located. They belonged to a Mixed Marshall Art team and it was believed that the gym had always provided a platform for the promotion of same-sex related activities.

This was given credence to, by the fact that one Queen Acha, a member of the martial arts team and close associate of Confidence had constantly advocated for the rights of women and their right to choose whatever they want.

Confidence’s community leaders opposed to such abnormal culture reportedly led by one politician and cultural activist with much influence in the community, Mr. Patrick Uzoma some time in 2024 sent police men to the Gym in Warri in search of Confidence and other suspects associated with same-sex and bi-sexual practices.

It was gathered that when the armed policemen stormed the gym, there was fracas as they had come aggressively trying to forcefully take away anyone in sight. Many of them were injured in the process including Confidence who had a nosebleed in addition to broken arm and bruises in other parts of his body. He was arrested, detained but later released after a few days.

Not too long, he went into hiding with his whereabouts unknown but still on the prowl of Confidence, sometime in 2025 some police still went in search of him at his family home at Upper Sakpoba area of Benin City to arrest him but luckily for him, he was no where to be found till date.

Sadly for his family, his father Osazee Ogbeide who was present at home when police men came with some angry mob, was at the receiving end of attack when he tried to defend his wife and other children. The elderly man was injured by the mob. He suffered head injuries and other parts of his body. He was admitted in an hospital where he reportedly received treatment for four days.

Confidence was said to have got the news of attack on his family and when he got in touch on phone with his father, he chose to open up following some questions his father reportedly asked concerning his sexuality.

The young man’s confession was said to have terribly irked his father, who in the circumstance announced his disowning of Confidence as a son with subsequent instruction never to return to his family.
