MEET FRANK OSHANUGOR

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta (UNIDEL) Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke has expressed deep gratitude to all the staff of the institution for their sacrifices, tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to the rapid growth and development of the University.

Prof. Chiemeke made the appreciation in her welcome remark during the June 2025 edition of UNIDEL Intercessory Prayer held on Wednesday, 4th June, 2025.

She said the University had kept growing tremendously because of the hand of God and the sacrifices of staff.
Commenting on the significance of the June edition of the program, she stressed the need to remain prayerful and surrender to God in totality. She added that students’ academic success and the success story of the Institution had been made possible by the power of God Almighty.

Preaching on the topic, “God Answers Prayers”, Rev. Dr. John Mordi gave illustration through the story of Jabez, with Bible references from l Chronicles 4:10, John 2:1-12 and James 5:16.
He posited that Jabez’s prayer was remarkable because he did not just ask for blessings but also for protection and guidance, which God granted him.

According to Fr. Mordi, Jabez prayed to God, saying, “oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not hurt me”

He underscored the importance of praying with faith and righteousness, stressing that when we pray with a pure heart and trust in God’s goodness, He would answer our prayers.

Speaking further, the clergy man admonished everyone to learn how to forgive, pray for his or her enemies and maintain faith while praying.

He also advised that prayer should not be with wrong motive but should, conform to the will of God by praying with simplicity and sincerity.
In his closing remarks, the Registrar, Barrister Richmond Omagbemi thanked the Vice Chancellor for her efforts and dedication in sustaining the accelerated growth of the Institution. He appreciated the University lntercessory Committee, the UNIDEL Band and staff for their immense contributions.

He urged the staff to remain assiduous and prayerful as their works would continually speak for them.
The Registrar also appealed to the students to remain studious and law abiding.
The June 2025 edition of UNIDEL Prays featured praise and worship, exhortation and intercessory prayers which was anchored by Pst. Dr. John Oji.
