Wedding Reception Turns Bloody As Bouncer Stabs Teenager To Death In Delta

A bouncer on protection duty at a wedding reception in Delta State is now in custody of the police for allegedly stabbing a teenager to death. The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday at the popular Wetland Hotel in Mofor area, Orhowhorun town of Udu Local Government Area.

AtlanticNewsonline gathered that the ugly incident occurred in the afternoon during a reception for the newly wed.The teenager, identified as Oghenemaro Eriana, was said to be a neighbour to the groom at their Kolokolo residence of Enerhen, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.

Sources said the teenager was trying to assist the newly wed to pick up money sprayed them by guests when the unfortunate incident happened leaving the couple and guests in tears.

The bouncer; Francis Utuedor, was said to have mistaken the teenager to be a thief who was trying to steal the celebrants’ money when he stabbed him in the process.

It was gathered that the deceased had gone to the party with his mother, whom two months ago, lost another of his son.

The incident reportedly brought the party to a halt as sympathisers made frantic efforts to save the life of the boy.

Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Command through its spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe; a Deputy Superintendent of Policr (DSP) confirmed the development, stating that the suspect has been arrested.
