PSC New Boss Holds Interactive Session With Former IGPs, Current IGP On Improved Policing

Former IGPs, Alkali And PSC Chairman On Extreme Right

The newly appointed Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) and retired Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. Solomon Arase has taken a bold step towards revolutionising the Nigeria Police Force by harnessing the professional views of former IGPs.

The former Inspectors General of Police who attended a meeting on Wednesday at Police Service Commission headquarters, Jabi Abuja

at the instance of Dr. Arase, amongst other salient things, discussed issues affecting the Commission and the Nigeria Police Force.

The participants drew experiences from the retired officers who had at various times piloted the affairs of the Nigeria Police Force, and the Commission.

The retired IGPs who graced the meeting included Sunday Ehindero,

Mike Mbama Okiro, Ogbonna Onovo and Suleiman Abba.

The PSC Chairman appreciated the incumbent IGP Usman Baba Alkali and retired IGPs for

honouring his invitation while assuring that the Commission under him would not relent

in making sure that the welfare of Police Officers and Men are well catered for.

The Inspector-General of Police while assuring of the commitment of the Force under the

current leadership to positive collaborations with the Commission for effective implementation of the Police Reform agenda,

appreciated the PSC Chairman for the thoughtfulness in assembling the eggheads for the laudable meeting
