MEET FRANK OSHANUGOR

Two non-governmental organizations; Aweleka Social Club of Nigeria and Ifedinma Social Club of Nigeria have jointly
congratulated a Canada based Nigeria born Professor, Nduka Otiono for the prize donation extended to secondary schools and students in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.
In a recent letter of appreciation jointly signed by the two NGOs; a copy of which was sighted by AtlanticNewsonline, Otiono; an indigene of Ogwashi-Uku was warmly appreciated.
The letter in part says “On behalf of Aweleka Social Club of Nigeria and Ifedinma Social Club of Nigeria, we sincerely wish to convey our warm appreciation to you for the generous prize donation for “The Professor Nduka Otiono Award for the Best School in Poetry” and “The Professor Nduka Otiono Award for the Best Student in Poetry” that you provided during the 2022 Ogwashi-Uku Secondary Schools Quiz and Debating Competition, held on October 1, 2022 in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.
“Both prizes were won by Delta Preparatory Private School, (DPPS) Ogwashi-Uku and Master Chukwuma Favour of DPPS respectively.
“We are happy to report that your support made us achieve more than we ever imagined in inspiring the students to be interested in Poetry. Our members, teachers, schools and students remain grateful to you.”
It would be recalled that about 60 public and private secondary school students represented their schools in the competition, jointly sponsored by the two NGOs.
The competition took place on October 1, 2022 at Frank Ryan Event Hall, Ogwashi-Uku. Other kind-hearted individuals of Ogwashi-Uku extraction who donated awards included The Professor Ikechukwu Enwemnwa Award for the Best School in Quiz,
The Dr. Celestine Iwendi Award for the Best School in Debating, The Derry Nwaduba Foundation Award for the Best School in Drama, The Global Lives Touching Foundation Award for the Best School in Talent Display and The Comrade Cyril Ohai Award for The Best Debating Student.
