A former Director with the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Mr. John Ikediashi has been conferred with the Fellowship of the Chartered Risk Management Institute of Nigeria (CRMIN). He was among the few recently decorated in a colourful ceremony organized by authorities of the institute in Lagos.
The Chartered Risk Management Institute of Nigeria (CRMIN) which was statutorily established via Act. No. 39 of 2022 and gazetted by the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a front line organization charged with defining risk management practices and set standards for risk management practices in Nigeria.
Interestingly, the importance of Risk Management in all aspects of lives including effective and efficient management of organizations particularly in the current period of high vulnerabilities arising from various developments within the financial ecosystem cannot be over-emphasized in contemporary time.
Fellowship of the CRMIN calls for exchange of ideas, experiences and strengthening understanding that will offer solutions and action plan on how emerging risks and vulnerabilities would proactively be identified and managed.
The former Director with NDIC, John Ikediashi who is currently a management and educational consultant, graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science (Insurance) degree from the University of Lagos. In 2003, he obtained a post-graduate diploma in Management from Bayero University, Kano and capped it with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the same Bayero University in 2005.
With deep interest in education management, Ikediashi also obtained a post graduate diploma in Education from the Benson Idahosa University, Benin City.
As an insurance professional, Ikediashi had a robust career with the NDIC which spanned about three decades before he retired meritoriously after years of service. Currently, he is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Lagos-based Ikediashi Consult which is into management consulting and risk management.
Ikediashi who is also a co-author of School Facility Typology Mapping (Visual & Audio materials for teaching & learning Process). The book which was published in 2022 was publicly presented recently.
Besides his Fellowship of CRMIN, he is also a Fellow, Institute of Management Consultant and an alumnus of FDIC, United States of America.
