Man On The Run After Smashing Six-Year-Old Daughter To Death

Detectives in Delta State are now in the pursuit of Stanley Ovemureye who reportedly murdered his six-year-old daughter Abigail Stanley in a gruesome manner.

According to police sources the sad and painful incident occurred on Saturday 15th June, 2024 at Agharho in Ughelli North Local Government Area and the suspect Stanley who was said to have smashed Abigail’s head severally on the wall, reportedly took to his heels after the ungodly act.

Brother of the fleeing suspect had reported the incident to the police at Agharho while the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) on receipt of the complaint detailed operatives who went to the scene at Uviama New Layout, Agbarho, and recovered the corpse of the little child whose head was smashed several times on the wall.

According to Delta police spokesman, Superintendent of Police Bright Edafe, operatives recovered the corpse and deposited same at the mortuary while Abigail’s father who is the principal suspect is currently at large.

Saddened by this barbaric act, Delta State Police boss Olufemi Abaniwonda has ordered a serious manhunt for the fleeing suspect and assures members of the public that the suspect will be arrested and

justice will be served. He urged anyone with useful information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect
