Lagos Police Command Is Diligently Searching For Missing BRT Female Paasenger, Says Spokesman

Police detectives in Lagos are not leaving any stone unturned in their desperate search for a 22-year-old Ms Ayanwole Oluwabamise who got missing while transit from Lekki to Oshodi area of Lagos recently.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer; CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu said in a statement on Saturday that as soon as the report of the incident got to the police, investigation began to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of the lady.

It was gathered that Oluwabamise boarded a BRT bus in Lagos from Chevron bus stop, Lekki, heading to Oshodi on 26th February, 2022 at about 1900hrs and has not been seen till date.

According to the police spokesman “as soon as the report got to the police, investigation into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the lady was immediately initiated.

“To ensure a speedy and diligent investigation, the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, immediately directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Panti to take over the case.

“In the course of ongoing investigation, two suspects have been arrested and are currently helping in our investigation. While assuring that police detectives will continue to work assiduously to find the missing lady and bring her abductors to justice, the Command wishes to appeal to anyone with useful information that could help in our investigation to promptly give it to us for further necessary actions.”

The missing lady who hails from Moba Local Government Area in Ekiti State is about 5 feet plus tall, dark in complexion and speaks Yoruba and English languages well.

This particular incident notwithstanding, the Police Command has vowed to protect lives and properties of all residents of the State at all times.
