FUPRE Introduces More Courses, Invites Candidates As National Universities Commission Gives Approval

The management of Africa’s premier university of petroleum, Federal University of Petroleum Resources, (FUPRE) Effurun in Delta State has invited interested candidates who sat for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to take advantage of the recent approval of more courses (in addition to existing courses) by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to apply for any of the new courses.

According to a recent statement by the Registrar of FUPRE, Dr.(Mrs.) Jane Omoyine, the new courses include
B.Sc. Data Science, B.Sc. Cyber Security,
B.Sc. Information Technology and
B.Sc. Software Engineering, all four in the College of Computing Science.

In the College of Maritime Transport and Logistics are B.Sc Maritime Economics and Finance, B.Sc. Maritime Transport and Logistics while in the College of Science is B.Sc. Statistics.

Candidates are advised to note the admission requirements into the afore-mentioned courses. For B.Sc. Maritime Economics and Finance , Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects are required. Those seeking admission for B.Sc. Maritime Transport and Logistics should possess Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two subjects while for B.Sc. Statistics, Five credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two subjects from Further Mathematics, Computer Studies, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science or Data processing are required.

Those seeking admission into courses in the College of Computing Science, Five credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two subjects from Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Biology, Computer Studies/Data Processing, or Agricultural Science are required.
