By Doreen Ogboku
It was a three-in-one party on Saturday in honour of Eburuaja Nwachukwu, an Assistant Commissioner of Police as friends, associates and family members gathered to celebrate him after 35 years of meritorious service in the Nigeria Police Force.

Eburuaja who served as the Police Area Commander in charge of Area “E” Command FESTAC, Lagos till Saturday 15th November, 2025 was the centre of attraction as he marked his birthday, retirement and public presentation of his biography.
The occasion which attracted different personalities was held at an event hall in the Lagos Trade Fair Complex. It was gathered that Divisional Police Officers in Area “E” Command and some business associations in the area had jointly organized the party in appreciation of Eburuaja’s commitment to good policing and promotion of peace throughout the two years he served as the Area Commander.

A foreigner and friend to Eburuaja, Mr. Umar Baig, a Pakistani and Chief Executive Officer of Zerewa Cosmetics, who attended the occasion described him as a good friend and an exceptional police officer who represented the Nigeria Police Force very well.
An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Obiora Okonkwo currently in charge of the Federal Special Anti- Robbery Squad (FSARS) (SWAT) Adeniyi Adele, Lagos similarly paid tribute to Eburuaja as a colleague who had done creditably well for Nigeria as a police officer.

The Eze-Ndigbo of Amuwo-Odofin, High Chief Augustine Ojukwu who chaired the occasion noted the concerted effort, ACP Eburuaja made to restore peace in the various traders’ associations in Lagos Trade Fair Complex, Alaba and others which were in leadership crises over the years.
Different speakers at the event spoke about Eburuaja in glowing terms, commending him for being an exemplary police officer who had mentored many young officers some of whom were present at the event to celebrate him.
Highlight of the 3-in-1 party was the public presentation of the 120-page biography of Eburuaja written and published by ATLANTICNEWSONLINE Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Frank Oshanugor.

The book reviewer, Mr. Dipo Kehinde, a top rate journalist and publisher of NEWSMAKERS magazine in his opening statement remarked that “When I finished reading this biography, I realized one thing: if resilience ever needed a poster boy, ACP Nwachukwu Eburuaja’s face would be on the billboard, in full uniform, of course.”

The reviewer posited that “the disciplined home of Chief Inspector Jonathan Nnadi Eburuaja, (ACP Nwachukwu’s late father) a soldier-turned-police officer whose wartime experience shaped the ethos of his family provided a powerful foundation for Nwachukwu.
Kehinde talked about Eburuaja’s trajectory in the Nigeria Police Force, beginning with the difficulty encountered while trying to enlist as Cadet officer with his university degree but denied the opportunity by Nigerian factor. However, through determination, he latter got into the Force as a recruit before rising through the ranks to the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police.

Highlighting the contents of the book in sections and summarizing why the biography matters, Kehinde said it reminds us among other things “that integrity is possible, humility is powerful, service has dignity and dreams, even delayed are never denied.
“It is a story that encourages young officers, uplifts citizens and challenges leaders to recognize and support excellence,” he declared.
The biography was subsequently unveiled by the Chief Executive Officer of Jigsimur Health Drink Worldwide, Chief (Dr) Lilian Osuofia who launched the book handsomely.

Other dignitaries at the occasion included Chief Eric Akunwaofo, Chairman of Stakeholders Association of Trade Fair International Market. Chief (Dr) Camilus Amajioyi, President-General of Amalgamated Association of Alaba International Market and Chief Ngozi Emechebe, President of ASPANDA Trade Fair.
Others included Chief DC Ofiekansi, Chairman of Board of Trustee, ASPANDA Market, President of Building Materials Association, Abule Ado and his vice, High Chief Ngene, Chief Security Officer of APT Association of Progressive Traders, High Chief Arinze, Trade Fair, President of United Allied Association and many others.
