Delta Governor’s Defection To APC, A Cover Up For N1.3Trillion Misappropriation, Says Former Aide

As Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, his predecessor. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and the entire elected and appointed members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) few days ago engage in endless celebration of their cross-carpeting, a former Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Civil Societies and Non-Governmental Organizations, Comrade Victor Ojei, (a.k.a. Wong Box) has cautioned the defectors that it is not yet uhuru.

According to him, Oborevwori and Okowa’s action was only an attempt to evade prosecution for the N1.3trillion allegedly misappropriated by the Governor and his predecessor.

The activist in a press statement on Monday, warned that a “revolution is coming and the betrayers will be named and judgement of the people will be swift and final.”

In the statement titled
“FRED OGHENESIVBE AND PDP CABAL: STOP INSULTING DELTANS’ INTELLIGENCE” the former Senior Special Assistant said:

“Once again, the shameless agents of deceit have crawled out to defend the indefensible. Dr. (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, the Director-General of Delta State Orientation and Communication Bureau, has been busy peddling half-truths and celebrating betrayal as a masterstroke — but Deltans are not fools!_

The truth is stubborn.
You can bury it today, but tomorrow, it will sprout from the soil — stronger and louder!

Delta PDP leaders sold Delta State and its future to APC over a pot of porridge.
Why?
Because they needed a cover-up for the petition over the ₦1.3 trillion DESOPADEC fund misappropriation — money meant for the oil-producing communities, now stolen and squandered by the very people who are parading awards and media endorsements.

“Fred Oghenesivbe, you say the defection to APC was “holistic” and “unanimous”?
It was holistic indeed — a holistic conspiracy to bury the destinies of millions of Deltans!

You speak of awards bought and packaged by media houses with brown envelopes, but let’s talk reality:

• Where are the CCTV cameras promised under the “Enhanced Peace and Security” pillar of the so-called MORE Agenda?
• Where are the armed drones you promised to safeguard lives and properties?
• Why are Hunters Association, vigilantes, Anti-Cult groups, police, DSS, and Civil Defense left to beg for logistics and funding?

You claim Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is “advancing Delta” yet Delta is sinking deeper into bloodshed, insecurity, poverty, prostitution, human trafficking, and hopelessness!

Mr. Oghenesivbe, remember:
Sheriff Oborevwori sits on the Nigeria Police Council.
He has a constitutional duty under Item L, Part 1 of the Third Schedule of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) to fund and empower the police and other security agencies.
He has FAILED!

How dare you call this “good governance”?
How dare you spit in the face of thousands of families mourning loved ones killed because there were no patrol vehicles, no surveillance cameras, no funded police stations?

Deltans are WISE!
We are not cowards!
We see through the lies.

Your so-called “family decision” to defect was nothing but a cowardly deal struck in the corridors of Abuja to save your corrupt necks from EFCC handcuffs.
You abandoned Delta State for your selfish gain.
You sold our future to the highest bidder.

You, Fred, and your greedy PDP gang have shortchanged a generation.
You have mortgaged our tomorrow for peanuts today.
You have betrayed the people you swore to serve!

But hear this:
Deltans will never forget.
Deltans will never forgive.
The day of reckoning is coming faster than you think!*

You can deceive a few, but the soul of Delta cries for justice — and the land will rise against the evil men who traded her destiny for silver and gold!

The Revolution is Coming.
The Betrayers will be named.
